Privacy policy

What data we process when you visit the website or play on Aether Prison, why we do it and what your rights are.

Who handles your data

The data controller is the operator of the Aether Prison Minecraft server ("we"). For any privacy request write to info@aetherprison.it.

What we collect

When you play on the server

  • your Minecraft nickname and UUID, and the account type (premium or cracked);
  • your connection IP address, date and time of logins;
  • the password you choose with /register, stored only as a hash: nobody can read it;
  • game data: rank, prestiges, items, currencies, statistics, playtime, votes;
  • chat messages and commands, stored in the server logs;
  • technical data for the anticheat (movements and actions in game) and the history of any punishments.

When you visit the website

  • the web server logs your IP address, the requested page, date and time and your browser (technical logs);
  • the site stores only small preferences in your browser (localStorage), for example whether you closed the Discord bar. We use no profiling cookies and no analytics tools.

When you buy in the store

Payments are handled entirely by Tebex, our official partner. We only receive your nickname, the purchased product and an order ID. Payment data (card, PayPal, billing address, email) is processed by Tebex under its own policy: tebex.io/privacy.

Why we use it

  • Running the game (login, saves, delivering purchases): needed to provide the service you ask for.
  • Security and enforcing the rules (anticheat, bans, protection against attacks and stolen accounts): our legitimate interest.
  • Legal obligations, if an authority asks us.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services

  • Tebex: payments and delivery of purchases.
  • Hosting provider (CarlHost): hosts the game server and the website.
  • Mojang/Microsoft: premium account and skin checks.
  • Voting sites (Minecraft-ITALIA and the other lists): when you vote they send us the nickname you entered.
  • Google Fonts and mcsrvstat.us: the site loads fonts from Google and reads the online player count from mcsrvstat.us. Your browser connects to them, so they see your IP address.
  • Discord: if you join our Discord server, Discord's policy applies.

Some of these services may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (such as standard contractual clauses).

How long we keep it

  • account and game data: as long as you play; if you do not log in for 24 months we may delete it;
  • server and website logs (IP, chat, commands): 12 months at most;
  • punishments (ban and reason): for as long as the punishment lasts;
  • purchase data: for the period required by (tax) law, kept by Tebex.

Minors

In Italy, under-14s need a parent's consent to use online services like this one. If you are under 14, ask a parent before registering. Purchases by minors must always be made with a parent's permission.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, or get a copy of it. Write to info@aetherprison.it and include your nickname: for safety we may ask you to confirm in game that the account is yours. We reply within 30 days.

If you think your data is not handled correctly you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or to the authority of your country.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top. We also announce important changes on Discord.
